Extra-Curricular Activities

Although our number one priority is maximising examination success, school is not just about academic study. At Greatfields we actively encourage all students to enjoy school and to get involved in as wide a range of activities as possible. Attendance at our after school clubs is exceptionally high with half of the students regularly staying behind to attend a club every night.

School Trips and Residential Visits
A trip to see Wicked at the West End is taking place towards the end of February with almost half of the year group attending. All students will be attending a trip to the Tate Modern, free of charge, at the end of this term.

The school’s PE department organises clubs and teams across a wide range of sporting activities, such as football, cricket, netball, rugby, basketball, and athletics. Sports clubs run every night after school. The school has already had phenomenal success with the boys’ football team reaching the fourth round of the National Cup, semi-finals of the borough cup and third round of the London Cup. The girls’ netball are competing in the borough leagues and the school is participating in the borough’s indoor athletics competition at the end of this month.

Music, Dance and Drama
Students  receive individual tuition in a range of instruments as well as joining groups such as the choir and band.
