On Thursday 12th December, Greatfields attended the Year 10 Girls Borough Handball Competition. The 6 schools entered, were split into 2 pools where Greatfields would play Barking Abbey and Riverside from there pool. Greatfields were up against Barking Abbey first and were able to win their first game 3-0. Riverside was up next but Greatfields, unfortunately, lost 0-3. However, due to winning their first game, Greatfields got through to compete in the 3rd\/4th playoffs against Goresbrook School. Greatfields got off to a flying start scoring 2 goals however Goresbrook closely followed scoring 3. Both teams moved to ball from defence to attack quickly resulting in 1 more goal scored by Greatfields but 3 more scored by Goresbrook. Goresbrook took the win, 6-3. Greatfields played a fantastic tournament coming 4th out of 6 schools in the borough.
