On Tuesday 24th September our Eco Club visited Capel Manor. The ‘Green Plan It’ challenge trip was a great success, the students\u2019 day was broken down into three stages. First they had an introduction to Capel Manor College, which outlined why they were invited there to join the RHS challenge. During this time both teams also meet their team mentors. They then went on a guided tour of the college gardens and Zoo. As you can imagine the students really enjoyed this and it helped them formulate some ideas about the kind of garden they want to design. There was a quick lunch, after which they finished off the day with a short introduction to plant life and a team building workshop to create a ‘super hero’ plant. Both the event organisers and mentors complimented the students effort and behaviour.<\/p>\n
Now we have 11 weeks to design our open spaces, before we return to Capel Manor and present our ideas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
