Celebrated in over 100 countries it is the biggest celebration of books in the world. Students and staff dressed up as their favourite literary characters and took part in a range of activities throughout the day to inspire and develop a love of literature. In science, year 9 students conducted an exciting experiment using static electricity to recreate the flying newt scene from Roald Dahl\u2019s novel, Matilda. Students got creative in art where they designed bookmarks and created book covers for their own stories. During P.E students conducted a class debate on equality in sport and students summarised their thoughts into convincing persuasive speeches.
