On the 4th and 11th of February, year 9 visited the Imperial War Museum to enhance their understanding of the causes and impacts of World War 1 and to experience the Holocaust exhibition. When we arrived at the museum pupils were given a lecture on what the Holocaust was about and given a headset so they could listen to people\u2019s experiences whilst they walked around the exhibition. It was a very moving and emotional experience for our pupils who spent time reflecting on their own lives and how fortunate they are. After the exhibition pupils were given the time to reflect on what they saw and ask further questions. In the afternoon pupils then experienced the World War 1 part of the museum. This part of the museum was very interactive with pupils measuring to see if they were tall enough to go to war and experiencing what life was like in a trench.<\/p>\n
