On Tuesday 8th<\/sup> January our Year 9 pupils were afforded the wonderful opportunity of visiting Coventry University\u2019s Dagenham campus. Upon arrival our students were greeted by the staff and student ambassadors who provided the students with a welcome talk allowing them to ask any questions they had about University life and courses they were interested in. This was then followed by an impressive campus tour where we were able to participate in trying out their state of the art equipment in the Science and Engineering labs.<\/p>\n

The taster session on the day included; Business and Law, Primary Education studies, Mechanical Engineering and Health and Social Care. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our students were so impressed and inspired by how accessible and beneficial University life is. The day provided the students with the opportunity to learn the truth about a lot of myths surrounding Universities and encouraged them to raise their aspirations for future career prospects. Greatfields School thanks Coventry University for their hospitality and a very insightful visit.<\/p>\n
