{"id":6701,"date":"2018-11-14T12:15:35","date_gmt":"2018-11-14T12:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/?p=6701"},"modified":"2018-11-14T12:15:35","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T12:15:35","slug":"art-club-says-hola-to-spanish-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/?p=6701","title":{"rendered":"Art Club says \u201cHola!\u201d to Spanish Club!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Art club this week went international as we welcomed Spanish Club, run by Miss Darwin, into the art room to celebrate <em>\u2018D\u00eda de los Muertos\u2019<\/em>, (<em>\u2018Day of the Dead\u2019)<\/em>, which occurred on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> November. A full house was present as the students created <em>calaveras de az\u00facar<\/em>, (sugar skulls), out of salt dough.<\/p>\n<p>Both Miss Darwin and Mr Butler were impressed with the creativity and enthusiasm that the combined clubs showed, utilising different coloured doughs adorned with decorative items. The joint venture was a great success with both sets of club members learning new skills (all the instructions were delivered in both Spanish and English). We hope to work together again in the near future but until then we\u2019d like to say <em>muchas gracias y adi\u00f3s al Club Espa\u00f1ol<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a
