All the students not only completed a 1,500 word essay on disease, but also passed with university style grades. Their tutor, Fiona Clarke commented that the students were grasping concepts as if they were Key Stage 4 students. The trip included: a reflection workshop where students got to think about where they could apply the techniques learnt during the course, a session where students received advice and guidance on what the next steps academically would be for them and how to best go about achieving this. Finally the students received their certificates and graduated from the Scholars Programme to a massive round of applause from other participating schools.
