We were lucky enough to be given a classroom session where we were taught by real astronomers how to calculate the distances of different stars in the galaxy and beyond. We also had a careers talk from PhD students and were surprised to learn how many famous faces have Physics or Maths degrees. Our favourite session though was definitely the planetarium show where we travelled through the solar system and non-visible universe with the guidance of one of the astronomers.
