He spoke about how he became a councillor and explained that the key characteristics needed\u00a0is to be caring, considerate, a good listener and you have to really want to make a difference to your community and the lives of those who live within it. He talked about aspects of working within the Gascoigne community and gave an insight into what the daily life of councillor is like. The pupils were then given the opportunity to ask Mr Twomey about how they could become a councillor if they wanted to.
