The match consisted of two innings with Greatfields batting first. Over twenty good balls, Greatfields scored a fantastic 6 full rounders and a cumulative score of 9 \u00bd rounders, with only one batter being stumped out. It was Barking Abbey\u2019s turn to bat. Within their first seven good balls, Greatfields were able to catch and stump six of their batters out, leaving only three batters to take the remaining thirteen good balls. Greatfields fielding team were determined to not let Barking Abbey score any more than 1 \u00bd rounders and were able to catch out Barking Abbey\u2019s remaining three batters. Greatfields had won the first innings.<\/p>\n<p>The second innings! Greatfields knew that this was their chance to achieve their highest rounders score to date. With three subs made, Greatfields were off to a good start, scoring two rounders with their first nine good balls. Barking Abbey were then able to stump one of Greatfields batters out but leaving a solid eight batters still to bat. Barking Abbey\u2019s bowler made some tactical decisions stopping Greatfields from getting full rounders, allowing Greatfields to only score a five rounders.<\/p>\n<p>Barking Abbey knew this could be their chance to chase Greatfields score but Greatfields\u2019 fielders upped their game. During the second innings, Greatfields were able to catch and stump out all nine of Barking Abbey\u2019s batters within twelve good balls. Great sportsmanship shown by both teams, hands were shaken and three cheers were applauded. The final result; 14 \u00bd rounders to Greatfields, 2 to Barking Abbey. Greatfields best score and win so far! A fantastic result achieved by all.<br \/>\nGreatfields have their final match against Robert Clack on Tuesday 20<sup>th<\/sup> June. The decider!
