The first game was against the hosting school where Greatfields won the coin flip and decided to field first. A few too many no balls were given at the beginning of the inning allowing Eastbury to slowly build up their \u00bd rounders. Greatfields dug deep and were able to catch and stump four of Eastbury\u2019s batters out. Eastbury had some long-distance batters left who were able to score full rounders taking their overall score to 6 \u00bd rounders.\u00a0 Greatfields knew they had some work to do if they were to beat Eastbury. First hit! Greatfields scored a full rounder. \u00bd rounders were also being rewarded to Greatfields for their fantastic determination to get to second base. Likewise, Eastbury caught and stumped out four of Greatfields batters and unfortunately their overall score was only one less than Eastbury\u2019s. 6 \u00bd rounders to Eastbury A Team, 5 \u00bd rounders to Greatfields.<br \/>\nGreatfields&#8217; second game was against Riverside. Again, Greatfields won the coin flip and decided to bat first this time. Greatfields knew they needed to beat Riverside and the batting was fantastic. Four full rounders were achieved alongside ten \u00bd rounders. Greatfields had a cumulative score of 9 rounders. Greatfields knew that was a difficult score to beat but their fielding needed to be better than in the match against Eastbury. Within the first seven good balls, Greatfields stumped out five of Riversides batters. The remaining four batters were able to score a 3 \u00bd rounders. Within the next eight good balls, two more rounders were scored but Greatfields were brilliant and were able to catch\/stump out Riverside\u2019s remaining batters.
