The girls have been competing in the borough league this term and below are the match reports from their final two matches:<\/p>\n

On Thursday 2nd February 2017, Greatfields arrived at Jo Richardson School to play in their next netball match of the borough league. The game began and both schools were working really hard to gain the first goal. Jo Richardson scored (0-1) but soon after Greatfields made a shot to make it 1-1. Just seconds left in the first quarter where Jo Richardson scored another shot. The score going into the second quarter 1-2 to Jo Richardson. Greatfields upped their game and quickly scored two goals putting them in the lead at 3-2 but Jo Richardson did the same; going into half time at 4-3. Jo Richardson came out strong in the third quarter and scored three goals taking the lead, 7-3. Greatfields remained focused and determined to win and produced their best ever performance in the forth and final quarter. The ball was moving quickly and accurately down the court and onto the attacking players. Three goals became 4, then 5, then 6 with only one goal to determine a draw. The timer was ticking quickly with only 45 seconds left to play of the match. The defence made an excellent interception allowing the ball to make it into the Greatfields shooting circle. GOAL! The final score; 7-7. Greatfields best netball result yet.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday 22nd February 2017, Greatfields played in their final netball match of the borough league against Riverside. Riverside immediately had a height advantage but Greatfields came out with a great attitude and determined to score. The ball was moving up and down the court fantastically by both teams but allowing Riverside to score three goals. Going into the third quarter, Greatfields were yet to score but a brilliant pass into the shooting circle allowed the score in the third quarter to finish 5-1 to Riverside. In the final quarter, Greatfields showed outstanding team spirit and encouraged each other throughout the final stretch of the game.
