This week we welcomed the Chain Reaction<\/em> theatre group into school to perform ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’.\u00a0 This was\u00a0an exciting, song-filled 35 minutes of educational theatre followed by a 10 minute hot-seating session where the year 7 students were able to ask questions to the characters from the show.\u00a0 The show looks at the reasons why children feel the need to bully and the consequences, both for the victim and the bully.\u00a0 The show champions the need to accept each other and embrace our differences, be they related to race, colour, religion, size or sexuality.\u00a0 The show also addressed the increasingly problematic issue of Cyber-bullying.\u00a0 Feedback from the students was superb, they felt strongly that they have learnt a lot about what bullying looks like and how to seek support with problems they may face.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
