upon Avon visit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The year 12 English literature group visited Stratford-upon-Avon to support their study of Shakespeare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We went first to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, where&nbsp;we were able to see some replica clothes from the period, as well as some original artefacts.&nbsp; The museum is set in the house where Shakespeare grew up and where his father made and sold gloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We then attended the matinee performance of<strong><em> Love&#8217;s Labour&#8217;s Lost<\/em><\/strong> in The Swan theatre.&nbsp; This is one of Shakespeare&#8217;s comedies and had a brilliant cast and set design.&nbsp; The whole group agreed that the play had far exceeded their expectations and had &#8216;come alive&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(As their teacher, I was particularly thrilled to see the students laughing so much).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Bradstreet<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3
