Dear families,<\/div>\n

As we approach the end of the term, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support. It has been a very successful term. The school has run 21 after school clubs and organised over 20 trips for the students to various places such as the British Museum, Billingsgate Market, Matilda the Musical at the West End and a number of different universities. We have had great success on the sporting front, in particular being crowned Borough Champions at Key Stage 3 for badminton and having great success at all age groups in basketball. The Performing Arts department have also been busy, with the highlights being the girls performing magnificently at the Broadway Theatre in November in front of many headteachers and local dignitaries for the Colin Pond Scholarship Rewards; and the Winter Showcase which took place last week, involving the school choir, drummers, dancers with some exceptional group and individual performances.<\/div>\n

As you are aware, the school introduced ‘Our Great Expectations’ for behaviour in September and this has led to a significant improvement in behaviour around the school. From January, in order to prove communication, families will be sent more specific information as to why a detention has been issued so that you can discuss this with your child, so please do ensure that you have downloaded Class Charts to receive this information.<\/div>\n

The final day of term is Thursday 21st<\/sup>\u00a0December. Please note the following finishing times for the different year groups:<\/div>\n

  1. Year 11, 12 and 13 finish at 1.30pm<\/li>\n
  2. Year 10 at 2pm<\/li>\n
  3. Year 9 \u2013 2.30pm<\/li>\n
  4. Year 8 \u2013 2.45pm<\/li>\n
  5. Year 7 \u2013 3pm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The first day of the Easter term is 8th<\/sup>\u00a0January at 8.40am for all students.<\/p>\n
