{"id":14299,"date":"2023-11-21T10:22:18","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T10:22:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/?p=14299"},"modified":"2023-11-21T10:22:20","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T10:22:20","slug":"boxclever-performance-at-greatfields","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/?p=14299","title":{"rendered":"BoxClever Performance at Greatfields"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Friday 3rd November 2023, Greatifelds School once again opened its doors to BoxClever!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the ghostly tale itself, we were transported to the festivities of Christmas time to feast our eyes on Charles Dickens, &#8216;A Christmas Carol&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Performing in front of our whole Year 10 cohort, the three person show was truly magical. A modern retelling had us marvelling at a flamboyant interpretation of the Ghost of Christmas Present, on the brink of tears looking at Belle and Scrooge&#8217;s relationship and testing our dancing skills with Fezziwig himself. The show was the perfect introduction to our English GCSE chosen 19th century novella, providing all our learners with a memorable portrayal to better access in class learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We cannot wait to host BoxClever once more in February for the stage performance of Macbeth for our Year 11 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1
