At Greatfields we strongly believe in working alongside our community to develop their confidence and aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the start of this year, we welcomed a group of parents to engage in a weekly ESOL programme; developing English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. We are very proud to announce that our first cohort of parents successfully completed their Entry 1 ESOL exam last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both parents and their children were extremely delighted with their achievements, and commented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7\u00a0 \u2018I am very proud of my mum, she is more confident now.’ Vitor Pataca\u00a0(Year 10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 \u2018Learning English means I can help my children with homework and communicate with my customers.’ Bianca Tatu’s mum (Year 9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a lovely ceremony to celebrate their success and are excited to have them return in September to progress onto their Entry 2 course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would also like to extend an invitation to any other parents who would like to join us for ESOL classes in September.\u00a0 Please contact the school office and ask for Hazra Begum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
