We are so proud that our students have been involved in the design of this new park for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EverDove Park, which is&nbsp;in the Gascoigne neighbourhood, was then built&nbsp;by Willmott Dixon on behalf of Be First.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Kitchen, director at Willmott Dixon, said: \u201cIt has been an exciting adventure working closely with the Greatfields School students and Be First to design and build this new outdoor space. &#8220;The students have helped create an area with the aim of bringing a community of all ages together and this has been achieved in a truly collaborative and inclusive way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy council leader Cllr Dominic Twomey, Cllr Alison Cormack and mayor Cllr Faruk Choudhury join children to release doves to mark the park&#8217;s opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/j-lee-everdove-pk-30.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/j-lee-everdove-pk-30.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/j-lee-everdove-pk-30-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A pocket park which schoolchildren helped to design has opened in Barking.
