Dear Parent\/Carer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sure that you will have noticed your child revising hard for their mock exams which start next week.  Just a reminder that students should only attend school on the dates and times when they have exams.  If there is a gap between exams, a study area will be provided.  Meals will be served on the days that students are in school.  If a student does not have an exam on a given day, they should remain at home to study. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government has recognised that in a pandemic, things may not always run as planned and has therefore confirmed the \u2018contingency arrangements\u2019 if exams cannot go ahead nationally. If exams are cancelled, it has been confirmed that grades would then be determined through teacher assessed grades (TAGs) and Ofqual have written an open letter to students about this, which can be found here.<\/a>  The upcoming mocks would be used as evidence towards their Teacher Assessed Grades.  Therefore, it is essential that students due to take exams next year, continue to work hard and discuss any challenges with us so that we can help them be as well prepared for their assessments as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will keep students, parents and carers updated as plans progress over the coming weeks and are committed to making sure students\u2019 best interests are at the heart of any decisions that are made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Year 11 mock examinations are due to start on Monday 6th December and running through until the Christmas holidays.  <\/strong>I have attached the exam timetable below and a copy of the Greatfields Candidate Exam Handbook and would be grateful if you went through these with your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
