{"id":11391,"date":"2021-11-08T11:15:44","date_gmt":"2021-11-08T11:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/?p=11391"},"modified":"2021-11-08T11:16:39","modified_gmt":"2021-11-08T11:16:39","slug":"year-11-mocks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greatfieldsschool.com\/?p=11391","title":{"rendered":"Year 11 Mocks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our Year 11 students will be completing a formal two-week period of mock examinations commencing on&nbsp;<strong>Monday 6th December and running through until the Christmas holidays.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Students will only attend school on the dates and times when they have exams.&nbsp; If there is a gap between exams, a study area will be provided.&nbsp; If a student does not have an exam on a given day, they should remain at home to study.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Year 11 students have attended an assembly where the importance of approaching these mock examinations with diligence and maturity has been communicated. Mock exams provide students with an authentic experience of revising for and completing exam papers, supporting the fine-tuning of their independent study habits and approaches to terminal tests. They also provide teachers with greater understanding of where individual students are in their journey towards achieving their potential, helping them to identify gaps in both knowledge and skills and ensure that the remaining curriculum time is effectively spent for all learners. In short, we need to see what students really know and can really do.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are asking you as parents and carers to support us in ensuring that students prepare adequately and sensibly for these mock examinations.
